About the Role:
Join 180 Degree Support Services as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in Richmond, VA, where you'll play a vital role in transforming lives. We are seeking passionate individuals dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to those battling substance use disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients.
- Assess client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate clients and families about substance use and recovery resources.
- Stay updated on best practices and trends in substance abuse treatment.
Requirements:
- Valid CSAC certification in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance abuse counseling.
- Strong understanding of addiction and recovery principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to client welfare.
- Proficient in documentation and case management software.
